HOUSTON GIRLS' COTILLION

Bluebonnet

The Houston Girls Cotillion (HGC) was established in the late 1960's, making it the original modern Cotillion in Houston for young ladies in high school. Cotillion enjoys a long history of providing a formal dinner and dance for sophomore and junior girls attending both private and public schools in the Central and West areas of Houston. Since 2005, the HGC moved from selective membership to limiting membership to only young ladies attending Duchesne Academy, Houston Christian, Lamar High School, Second Baptist, St. Agnes Academy, St. Francis Episcopal and Memorial High School during their sophomore and junior years. It continues today as a formal dinner and dance hosted by The Houston Girls Cotillion Board.

2024 will be the 56th Houston Girls Cotillion for the Sophomore Girls, Class of 2026 and Junior Girls, Class of 2025.

Houston Girls Cotillion is an independent social club. Eligibility of membership is defined by the schools attended but has no affiliation with a school or school district. The social club is completely independent and is governed by a Cotillion Board composed of Mothers and Daughters volunteering their time and talents.
